Chain lubes come in three main categories wet lube, dry lube and wax lube.
Different conditions call for different lubes
Wet lube supposedly the best lube in wet and muddy conditions. Personally I use wet lube regardless of the conditions. Finishline wet lube is in my opinion the best chain lubes and can be found by using the below link

In very muddy condition I have used a product called Cal guard. Its a MX bike lube and is really thick and greasy, in racing conditions where the mud is super thick. This may help prevent chain suck. Another unconventional mud defense tactic that I have tried is coating the frame and parts with spray and cook as it helps keep the mud from sticking and weighing you down. These tips really do work but require a lot of cleaning effort after your race or ride.
Here are some good cleaning products that I highly recommend:

PS having a small floor brush works wonders for quickly cleaning wheels and the drivechain.
Dry lubes are to be used in dusty dry conditions, they are usually Teflon based and dirt tends not to stick to them.
Wax based lubes are supposedly self cleaning as the wax flakes off as dirt sticks to it, these two types of lube are good and clean but have to be reapplied more regularly.
